Dr. Eli Anker is a leader in Minimally Invasive Vascular Surgery as well as General Surgery. He graduated from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and did his General and Vascular Training at Montefiore Hospital and Newark Beth Israel Medical Center.
Dr. Anker was the first surgeon on Long Island to place endovascular stents when they were approved in 1991. He started performing angioplasty procedures over 25 years ago. He is now performing many minimally invasive procedures in the angiography suite in his office in West Islip. These minimally invasive techniques include atherectomy, angioplasty and stenting.
Dr. Anker is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He received honors from the New York State Regents Scholarship, Phi Beta Kappa, Beta Delta Chi, Mensa, and the AMA Physician's Recognition Award For Continuing Medical Education.
